20 years after Amazon began its online book market it has opened its first bricks and mortar bookshop. One can’t help but wonder… why?

There is a lot of critique and analysis about this unexpected development in the bookselling world, some positive, some negative, and some that wonder if this is not a precursor to the eventual obliteration of offline booksellers.
