Coding Narrative is a 10-hour online course for teachers of Stage 1-4
Literacy is changing. Learning to communicate by writing with code is one of the most pressing literacy challenges of our time. Teaching children to write code is the beginning of addressing this major challenge. But teaching children to create with code opens up a world of creativity and self-expression for them. And it doesn’t have to be scary — or boring!
Creating and consuming multimodal texts is an essential component of the English syllabus from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Teaching coding is an essential part of the new Digital Technologies curriculum mandatory from 2019 (K-6 Science&Technology and 7-8 Technology (Mandatory) in NSW).
Join us on the journey and learn to code narrative! We’d love to have you!
Completing Coding Narrative will contribute 10 hours and0 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 2.6.2, 3.4.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
